Alice Law College, Boisar (W) commemorated the birth anniversary of Kranti Jyoti Savitribai Phule on 3 January 2026 with great respect and enthusiasm. The programme was conducted from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon in the college.
The celebration was organized under the guidance of the Principal, Dr. ShwetaChoudhari, and coordinated by Prof. Ravina Katkar. The event aimed to honour the life, work, and contribution of Savitribai Phule towards women’s education and social reform in India.
The programme began with a floral tribute to the portrait of Savitribai Phule, followed by an inaugural address highlighting her role as India’s first woman teacher and a pioneer of social equality. Speakers emphasized her struggles, courage, and dedication to education, especially for women and marginalized sections of society.
Students actively participated in the programme through speeches and discussions reflecting on Savitribai Phule’s ideals and relevance in contemporary society. The event successfully inspired students to uphold the values of equality, education, and social justice.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of the principal, faculty members, and students for making the event meaningful and successful.
